Jim Watson
Owner & General Contractor
Jim Watson, the mastermind behind JC Custom, has more than 20 years of experience in construction and remodeling. The key to his success has been his ability to listen to clients and bring what they want to life. The goal is for every completed home remodeling project to accurately reflect the customer’s personality, which is difficult for many contractors to execute. Jim and his team are experts in the area of client communication, organization, construction and luxury design. He was recently married to the love of his life, Donna, and his favorite past-time is enjoying the company of his grandson!
“We listen to what clients want and work hard to make their visions happen,” Jim says. “We spend a lot of time communicating with them to really find out who they are and what makes their house a home. Things like lighting, faucets, appliances and even colors are what make kitchen and master bathroom spaces personal. Once we get these elements right, the house feels like a home.”
THE TEAM

Amanda Mills
Principal Lead Designer
Amanda was raised in Conway, Arkansas and it was clear early on she would seek a career in the Arts or Design Field. She went on to receive her Bachelors in Interior Design at Harding University and spent 5 years working for a well known Interior Designer. She, her husband, and her son moved to Texas in 2014, where they fell in love with the DFW area’s wealth of activities and opportunities. Amanda joined our team in 2015, and quickly became an invaluable asset, thanks to her construction knowledge and design experience. Kitchens and bathrooms may be her specialty, but she finds every project incredibly rewarding, no matter what it entails. She adores working closely with her clients, so she can witness their excitement as our talented tradesmen bring to life everything from their dream wine room to their most spacious home additions.

Angela Fleming
Assistant Designer
Angela spent 2005-2007 studying Interior Design at Harding University, and 2008-2009 studying architecture at UTA. She has owned a successful photography business for the past 10 years, where she shoots both portraits and real estate, also spending time as a wife and mom of 2 young children. In 2019, she brought her business experience, creativity, and eye for aesthetics to the JC Custom team. Since starting with us, Angela has found joy in both the technical and the artistic challenge in producing beautiful, functional, and long lasting spaces.
